Crystallized Roots Movement FAQs

Is there any criteria around where we can plant these? Any criteria for choosing the places?

The planting can occur anywhere, as long as you are planting trees that are native or non-invasive and supportive for the land in your area. If you are planting on public land, you must also obtain the necessary approvals or permits before planting trees.

How will you use the financial donations?

The money we receive for this initiative will be used to purchase trees. As needed, we may also use it to purchase tools and water for workers at the planting sites, too.

What is required of me and the people involved to be a part of this project?

To be a Team Lead for this initiative: 1,000 trees in your area. To support the cause overall: A donation of time, money, or love.

Will Team Leads be required to find the proper access to private or state land to plant?

Yes, Team Leads are responsible for this, however the Earth Change team will try to assist if we can.

What happens if we plant 1,000+ trees successfully but not all survive?

While all trees may not survive, most will, and the Source Seeds we plant may help the whole area.

Is sobriety a requirement for CRM planting events?

No, but it’s important volunteers are clear on how to plant a Source Seed tree and plant their trees as responsibly as possible.

I can’t commit to being a Team Lead, but I’d like to support this initiative. What can I do to help?

There may be a subgroup formed in your area. Check the main CRM group on Facebook and MeWe for a list of subgroups. If there’s a group with a Team Lead established in an area close to you, feel free to reach out and see if the Team Lead can ship Source Seeds and GRO PRO water to you.

Alternatively, you can plant trees on your own! We won’t be able to supply you with Source Seeds and a GRO PRO, but you may purchase these on the VST website: https://voidspacetech.org

As long as you take a photo of each Source Seed tree after it’s planted, the photos will be shared and count toward our goal of 1 million trees. To submit your tree-planting photos, please send your photos to support@earthchange.org in the following format:

  • Contents: Individual Source Seed Trees only (no people or group shots)

  • Format: High resolution jpegs preferred

  • File naming: Location, tree, date. If you can only capture location and date, that totally works, too!

  • Size: 1500x2000px, if possible

We also invite you to take action photos at your planting events! If any people are featured in your event photos, please request their permission before sharing the photos online, on social media, or in any of the CRM groups.

Source Seeds

What’s the purpose of the Source Seeds?

Source Seeds are tiny beads made from a magnetic material and designed to create biophotons (the byproduct of photosynthesis) and more living light for the world to use. The intention of the Source Seed is to assist the growth and connection of the trees and provide a new way to connect with the world and atmosphere, allowing for better weather patterns and less extreme events.

GRO PRO

What is the GRO PRO?

GRO PRO is made with Source Seeds and coded specifically for plants and trees. It functions like natural springs and waterfalls, raising water’s energetic state. The GRO PRO can be attached to a garden hose or garden sprinkler system to water the trees. It may function as a natural fertilizer, keep bugs away, and help the trees to require fewer resources.

Is GRO PRO water required for each tree planted?

No, but it is nice to have. :)

Source Seed Trees

Does the age of the trees matter?

The age of the tree doesn’t matter, as long as it’s a new tree planting with a Source Seed. You cannot plant Source Seeds under trees that are already planted.

Are there any guidelines from a Source Seed standpoint in terms of distance between trees planted?

The distance between Source Seeds doesn’t matter, however it is the Team Lead’s responsibility to ensure trees are being planted responsibly. Team Leads should learn about native and non-invasive species, planting the appropriate number of trees at a time, proper distance between the trees, and other best practices for their area.

Can I plant a Source Seed tree in a pot?

To count as a part of this initiative, Source Seed trees must be planted directly in the ground, not in a pot.

What is the required distance between a Source Seed and the tree roots?

6-12 inches, depending on the tree.

How much do I water the tree?

The amount of water varies depending on the climate, tree variety, and location. Consult with your Team Lead and/or local tree planting resources to ensure you are planting your trees ethically and responsibly.

There are deer in my area. Can I place tubes around trees so the deer don’t eat them?

If your group is partnering with a local organization for your tree planting event, your Team Lead may supply protective tubes. If you’re planting on your own, you can look into getting these if your personal budget allows.

Do hedges, shrubs, and vines count?

No.

Can Source Seeds be planted with trees that will be harvested (cut down)?

No. The intention is to plant trees that will last as long as possible and will not be harmed.

As the trees grow, will Team Leads need to take pics of their progress and/or check in with the trees?

This is not mandatory for the project. However, if you’re able to document your trees’ growth, that’s amazing!

What about irrigation? How do we manage watering for dry areas after we plant?

Ideally, with Source Seeds and GRO PRO water, the trees may require fewer resources. However, we recommend looking into using water crystals, setting up an irrigation system, or researching other ethical ways to bring water to the area. If watering is a concern, you may also want to consider other, more suitable places to plant.
